Palak Paneer Recipe | Spinach Cottage Cheese Curry Recipe

  • 250 grams Palak blanched spinach
  • 250 grams Paneer cottage cheese
  • 1 medium size Onion chopped roughly
  • 1 medium size Tomato seed removed
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 5-6 Cashew optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1/2 Chilly powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 garam masala powder
  • Salt To taste


  1. In a pan fry paneer cubes on high flame till its slightly golden in color .take it out on tissue paper .
  2. Now add onions to the oil and fry till its translucent.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste cashew and fry it for 2-3 more minuets.
  4. Add tomato and all the powdered spices to the pan and cook it till tomato becomes soft and mussy .turn off the flame and let it cool.
  5. Grind the spinach in smooth paste.
  6. Grind onion tomato mixture to fine paste as well.
  7. Now again in a pan add onion tomato paste and fry it for 2-3 minuets. Add spinach paste salt garam masala powder and fry it for another 1-2 minuets.
  8. Now add 1/2 cups of water to adjust consistency of gravy bring it to boil . Then add paneer cubes. And turn off the flame.
  9. Your palak paneer is ready to serve.
  10. Garnish with freshly grated cheese.
