Tandoori Chicken Recipe | Grilled Chicken Recipe

This is a very easy recipe to make tandoori chicken. You can use this recipe to make Tandoori Chicken in Oven or you can alternatively choose to use barbeque/char grill to prepare barbeque chicken.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken Skinless
  • 200 gram Yoghurt or use Hung curd
  • 3 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 2 Teaspoon Tandoori masala
  • 3 Tablespoons Chilly powder (Adjust according to taste)
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 3 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1.5 Teaspoon Fenugreek leaves Crushed (Kasuri methi)
  • 1.5 Teaspoon Garam masala
  • 5 Tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard oil (Add Butter or refined oil if you like)
  • 1 Teaspoon Gram flour

Instructions

First Marination

  1. Take chicken and slit it all over with a sharp knife.
  2. Take lemon juice, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, chicken in a bowl mix it well and cover it.
  3. Keep it aside for 1/2 an hour.

Second Marination

  1. In a clean bowl take hung curd, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, tandoori masala, Kasuri methi, gram flour mustard oil and garam masala mix it well.
  2. Now add first marinated chicken into this marination and keep it aside for another 4-5 hours.
  3. Preheat your oven on 220-degree Celsius.
  4. Add salt into the marinated chicken just before cooking, it will keep your chicken juicy.
  5. Cook the chicken for 20-25 minutes and turn the chicken after 10 minutes.
  6. Cook it for another 15-20 minutes and take out of the oven.(cooking time always depends on oven type, so stay alert while making it for the first time )
