Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Chicken
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon Red chilli powder Adjust as per your Taste
  • 2 teaspoon Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Gram flour
  • 1 Cup Hung yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Amchoor Powder
  • Salt As per taste


  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Onion seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black salt


  1. Clean Chicken Pieces and add in a bowl. Add Chilli Powder, Lemon Juice, Ginger-garlic paste and Salt and Mix well. Set it aside from 30 minutes
  2. Dry roast all the ingredients for spice mix and crush coarsely.
  3. In a pan add butter and roast gram flour. Set it aside once done.
  4. In a big bowl add yoghurt, roasted gram flour and spice mix. Now add the chicken as well. Mix well and leave it for marination for 2 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 200-degree celsius. While the oven preheats, put the chicken pieces on skewers. once the oven is heated, cook the chicken for 15 minutes each side. Char for a couple of minutes before taking it out.
  6. Serve the delicious Achaari Tikka with Lemon wedges and onion rings.
