Coconut Chutney Recipe | Nariyal ki Chatni Recipe

  • 200 grams fresh coconut cut into slices
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 green chilies adjust according to your spice level
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup water

For tempering

  • 2 teaspoon sunflower oil
  • 1 teaspoon black mustard seeds
  • 6-7 leaves fresh/dried curry
  • 1 teaspoon yellow lentils channa daal
  • 1 dried red chilly


  1. In a grinding jar add coconut, ginger, green chilies, salt, water and grind it into smooth paste.
  2. In a hot pan add oil and let it warm.
  3. Now add channa daal(yellow lentils), red chilly mustard seeds and curry leaves. Let it splutter. Then add to the coconut chutney. Mix gradually.
  4. Your chutney is ready to serve.
